According to EACOP Ltd, the pipeline stretches 296 km, passing by means of 10 districts and 25 sub-counties and of those 7 districts lie inside the Buganda Kingdom, masking 130 1 villages throughout 4 of the Buganda Kingdom’s 18 counties.
The official groundbreaking ceremony for the Kabaka Daudi Chwa II EACOP Stadium Buddu was formally executed on Thursday, twenty third July 2026 in Buddu county, Masaka metropolis.
East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) Ltd in partnership with Buganda Kingdom broke the bottom on the development of the Ug.Shs 29 billion facility.
This initiative aligns with EACOP’s Social Economic Investment pillar- youth empowerment that focuses on deliberate interventions in the direction of the social and financial wellbeing of communities alongside the pipeline.
The Kingdom expressed its dedication in the direction of this initiative by committing 10 acres for the development of a state-of-the-art group sports activities heart.
EACOP made a monetary contribution in the direction of the development of this facility, which is envisioned to nurture younger expertise, promote health, and function a hub for unity and group engagement.
Speaking on the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. John Bosco Habumugisha, the Deputy Managing Director of EACOP Ltd., remarked “This groundbreaking ceremony displays our long-term dedication to advancing sustainability and socio-economic improvement. By supporting the sports activities centre, we’re investing in initiatives that may ship lasting worth for communities wherein we function.”
The Katikkiro of Buganda, Oweek. Charles Peter Mayiga, welcomed the partnership, hinting:

The stadium is a shared imaginative and prescient between EACOP and the Buganda Kingdom to foster sustainable regional improvement in Masaka and surrounding areas.
